Re: Screenwash, or, Meths?

My booboo is meths-related too. I've managed to melt a Caldera Cone on my workbench leaving a deep scorched groove where the aluminium dripped down. All in the name of scientific research as my walking companion encourages me to apply the scientific method to everything I do ! Beware - the combination of a Trangia burner and a narrow cone caused the meltdown.
Add that to last year when I scorched my Paramo and set fire to a small piece of Glen Etive while burning my loo paper and you may want to camp at least 10 metres from me.

Re: Screenwash, or, Meths?

Nice one Stan! Perhaps Paramo will bring out an asbestos jacket for you

Have a good Challenge!

Re: Screenwash, or, Meths?

Could've been worse, Gordon. You might have found yourself with whisky in the stove and drinking the meths.

And here's a tip - should this error occur, the meths is much nicer chilled. My local hardware store keeps a bottle in the fridge for me.

Re: Screenwash, or, Meths?

You'll have crystal clear vision though Gordon.

Re: Screenwash, or, Meths?

I've decided to go clean and take some Coleman meths, at least I think it's meths?

I may decide to call in to Gelder Sheil.
