Message board

Folks.

This message board has over the years been a friendly, fun place where advice is shared, stories enjoyed and encouragement offered to all.

It's a place to which I and others direct those looking for info from folk with specialist ken or a good deal of experience.

A few posts in recent days have not exactly met the expectation that folks have if it and I've had more than one complaint as well as mutterings from others about abuse of the board by a few.

I'm not going to introduce a set of rules but would request that this board is not used as a place for personal pokes, or statements of entitlement or elitism. Banter, good natured stuff, jokes – wonderful. Some recent posts, however, not so.

If something someone says here rubs you up the wrong way, be grown up and look the other way. Any threads that descend into unpleasant personal stuff will be deleted and the perpetrators sin-binned for a period I see fit.

The board's currently open as it's a great resource for aspiring Challengers and first timers, as well as experienced Challengers venturing into unfamiliar areas. I've no intention of making use of it password-protected.

Please continue to offer fun, advice and encouragement to all and restrict the personal stuff to the pub car park. Or the playground.

In other words carry on as normal, not as recently.

Ta.

Re: Message byearoard

Do folks not take washing up bowls then? And I had found a special one to take made of lightweight porcelain. I assume a pack of brillo pads and a bottle of fairy liquid is needed though.
