Fashion Disasters

From today's Daily Telegraph - Fashion Disasters:

Fair enough!

Re: Fashion Disasters

I'm not into fashion. I can wear something for so long they'll call it 'retro' at a certain point in the future.

Re: Fashion Disasters

OMG this is SO LAME *experiences retch-making flashback* ROFL I mean Anna Wintour totes solidarity with my Fatwa so I Don't Think So even The Blessed Connie (still rooting 4 Dubya) Rice would not be seen dead in these I rest my Louis Vuitton case.

Re: Fashion Disasters

If you or anyone else can find something lighter and more comfortable, then I will use those instead.
But there isn't as far as I know.
The biggest problem with Crocs is the bulk.
They take up loads of room.
And I like to have something other than my shoes at camps.
So I may still end up with Crocs.
Might not be so bad if I had dainty little feet.

Re: Fashion Disasters

Ha! Sneer if you will, fashion slaves, I remain unswayed. Like Andy, I am a Croc aficionado . Wonderful and justly popular footwear.

There are far, far worse crimes against fashion (and indeed the retina). Consider La Sportiva's Raptor with its eye searing yellow. Where did they get their inspiration for that I wonder?

Re: Fashion Disasters

Everytime they slip they'll say : it was the banana

Re: Fashion Disasters

Ahem.

From TGOC 2008" />

Sorry Phil.

Re: Fashion Disasters

I think Phil looks LOVELY in his pink Crocs/Holeys!

I LOVE my orange Holeys!

This kind of footwear is GREAT for post-plodding in camp/bothy/B&B etc and stream-striding.

It also looks very fetching at Montrose campsite and at the Challenge dinner!

And now for a Quiz!!!!
Please see the following pic (sorry, don't know how to make the clicky thing) and try to guess which Challenge feet are in which colour! I will give the answer on Monday, but the prize will have to wait till next year as I am unable to do the Challenge this year.

Re: Fashion Disasters

Oh dear. A wonderful take working the classic Ralph Lauren preppy look on the part of Lord Elpus, but falling over with the unspeakable footware. Why? Why? Why? There are other - though difficult - colours to choose from. Frankly, this is yet another example of Challengers riding roughshod. The gent on the left, however, passes muster. Interesting colour choice, but perfectly acceptable. Gaitors are always amusing in certain circles.

Re: Fashion Disasters

Alas, the crocs pictured were not mine, JJ. I was a Croc virgin at the time. They belonged to a young lady and were loaned for my initiation into Crocdom (the raising of the trouser leg is an integral part of the ceremony).

...the raising of the trouser leg is an integral part of the ceremony...

Lord Elpus! The old ankle ploy, eh? Many a woman has fallen for those trim little ankles you're sporting there. You'll be dropping your silk handkerchief to the floor next...

Beware, girls! You are witnessing one of the Dark Lord's Wooing Secrets! He'll turn your heads, he will!

Re: Fashion Disasters

Just the thing for river crossings.

Can't get them in PINK though.

Re: Fashion Disasters

The winner of my little quiz (see my previous post) is Martin Banfield!

Answer(from left to right): Ali, Sue, David, Heather.

Well done Martin
