Starting point Mallaig . Arrive Mallaig at 11.35 pm. 9/5/13 was on standby list so could not book anything early as a result cannot find anywhere to lay my head for the night as everywhere is full. Just thought if anyone got a spare bed in a twin or double room that wouldn't mind sharing I would be up for that. Oh I'm a lone female but don't mind who I share with. :) Lindsay

There's a good campsite in Arisaig, close to the beach - you could always hop off the train there and then walk, train or bus the four miles over to Mallaig in the morning. I stayed there back in '04 and it was delightful. Plenty of time to catch the ferry!

Lindsay, there is an excellent b&b near Morar , Caorunn house 01687450392. If you ask, George will pick you up from the station at 11.30pm, and will run you to Mallaig in morning. Very friendly and a lovely place to stay.
