Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

I have a look at this every now and then to see what the weather is doing up there.

Looks cold today, the snowplough went through a short while ago:

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

Aussie Mike,

G'Day,

Struth, its been snowing on and off here at Oyne (35 miles NE Braemar) for days and weeks now and the Met Office and BBC forecasts are giving continuous snow till at least Sunday- last year we had frog spawn in the pond on 15th February, this year it is yet to be ice free...

bring your ice axe, crampons and thermal shreddies

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

You think that you have got it hard? Yesterday I had to make a withdrawl from the bank (Newspaper) for some extra insulation under my cardboard box. Ice axe & crampons? Experts have already told us they don't need them so what do I know!
PS The gates are now open Mike so you should be OK.

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

Black (or more accurately, white) propaganda! According to the Climate Change Unit at the UEA, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and Al Gore, we are currently experiencing an unprecedented warming trend.

Aussie Mike's photo is an all-too-obvious fake.

Here is a real picture of Braemar in springtime. The keen observer will discern Morrone to the right of the palm tree, and in the distance Glen Callater bends East to the Lochcallater oasis.

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

lol @ Phil.

Someone turn on the heater. :D

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

If someone will tell me how to upload a photo, I'll put up the Hebridean island (Berneray, between Harris & North Uist) that a tourist office in Thailand (or somewhere thereabouts) used for its promotional literature. Hard luck that a sharp-eyed Bernerophile noticed and informed those notorious Press people.....

Great thing about the photo - you can't actually FEEL the seawater temperature when you try to swim!

Re: Braemar Snow Gate Camera Images

Doesn't the UK get Spring anymore? :D

Jean, Try postimage.org

Once uploaded, copy the 'Direct link' url and wrap it in 'img' tags like this:

Hope that helps.

Or just email it to me and I'll do the geek thing for you. :)
