The Feughside Inn ceased trading in January and is on the market for £350,000. The previous owners have retired and I read that the net profit for the last trading year was in excess of £130,00. So there is a good business opportunity for some well heeled Challenger to take it on and get it open again by May.

If I hear that it has reopened I'll make another posting.

That's a ****ed shame. It was a good pub that provided excellent ale and decent food.
I really hope someone takes it on.

Is the campsite still going to be open?

According to the latest Challenge Newsletter the campsite is fine & dandy.

I reckon if half a dozen Challengers got together and punted their increasingly bizzarro kit collections on ebay, they could buy this place outright.

Yes the camp site is still open and will remain so. They were one of many objectors to the planning application for a change of use from hotel to 3 dwelling houses. The application goes before committee on the 12th March.
