Doh! And I paid full price for some on Monday! 
I needed a bigger size for my boots (rather than my shoes), so I now have TWO pairs. Whilst they are very good on ice, they weren't so good on the soft, fresh Lake District snow this week. I often ended up with 70's-style platform soles! I can now see why the anti-balling plates on the Yaktrax XTR are a good idea. (Currently available from Go Outdoors for £25.47 with discount card. Wish I'd looked before I bought the Kahtoolas!)
