Re: Inverness sleeper

First class is single, so no risk of snoring - unless you wake yourself up!

The loos are down the corridor, however.

Not sure about the facilities by time the train gets to Crewe.

You do realise that the will be some rowdy elements*** on this train.

There is even the chance that they might have drunk the bar dry.

Oh, and if it's the Inverness one, I'll be one of the RE's

Re: Inverness sleeper

Joy,

Give Scotrail a ring.
A few years back you could pay a suppliment and have the 2 berth cabin to yourself...so long as there was space available. In 1st there is no upper bunk to bang your head on. Otherwise the cabin seems the same size. There may nave been a bun with morning tea in 1st. Otherwise, little else.

Which night are you going.

See you in the bar??

Victor

Re: Inverness sleeper

Thanks very much for the info Gordon and Victor.
I appreciate the tip on ringing Scotrail ref the double carriage to myself.
Don't know if I'll see you in the bar. I'll be travelling on the Wednesday night but I don't board the train til nearly midnight (Crewe) and don't know how long they keep that bar car open.
I have emailed Scotrail with this question.
They are probably used to desparate queries of this nature.
(I don't think 1st class is very good value. I'd expect private facilities for the price charged, wouldn't you?).
