I'm getting close to finishing my maiden TGOC route plan and having started with some interesting wild bits (Knoydart, Affric, eastern Cairngorms/Loch/Glen (possibly Ben) Avon, Glen Gairn) I now have a chunk of Speyside between Garva Bridge (end of Corrieyairack pass) and Strath Nethy W of Bynack More to fill in. This is potentially 45km of tarmac to Feshie Bridge and then a quite nice 24km day through Rothiemurchus and the Ryvoan Pass. My thinking is to put in one long slog of a road day, possibly lightened by the fleshpots of Newtonmore and Kingussie. It would be nice to finish it with a decent place to stay in the Kincraig area if anyone can recommend ...

Alternatively, does anyone have a more inspiring way of covering this stretch? I can afford two and a half days instead of 2 if it's worth the extra time.
