2012 Photos ...finally

Hi All,

Here you go took these last year - there are a few, you might want a cuppa. I thought I better get them up before this years event.

A couple of points to note.

1. I'm new to Smugmug so bear with me
2. I don't remember it being so sunny.
3. I know why a certain group of gents called us the Honey Monsters

Warm regards to all you challengers getting ready - and for those on the standby list - this is when it starts to get really exciting. For instance, our dog tripped me up on the way home from the pub on New Years night - black an blue ankle - almost opened up a spot on the list. Give her more gravy bones and she'll do a proper job next time

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

You're quite right, the sun DIDN'T shine that much - lovely piccies mind!

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Wonderful pictures, Richard
For me, the very first and the very last pictures sum up your Challenge perfectly!

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Crackin Photos.

Now I know why you had that bloody great camera

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Thanks for the kind comments.

Alan, if you mean summing up our challenge by being white, unfit and apprenehsive at the start, and brown, fit(ter), confident and extremely pleased with oneself at the end then you are quite correct!

PS I know how I'm going to lose at least 1Kg from my 'ultra light' pack weight this year - only take a standard lens

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Those photos were worth the waiting !
Thanks much for posting them.

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Hi,

Really great pictures. It wasn't that sunny the route I walked.

Just curious - what kit did you use (stunning results)?

Bernie

Re: 2012 Photos ...finally

Hi Bernie,

It was a Nikon D800 with a 24 - 120mm, but as mentioned this year I might just take the 50mm lens (which is better anyway) and save myself a bit of weight !

Cheers

Fab photos! I certainly don't remember so much sun in the first few days.
