Re: Dulnain Werewolves

Curious. I was camped with Andy Howell in the upper reaches of the Findhorn last Halloween - a cold night, so much so that Andy's boots were frozen solid by morning - and both of us heard a certain howling, but put it down to the Coignafearn estate's dogs. We'd passed them in late afternoon, and, on recollection, they did seem to be strangely disturbed.

I have no reason to doubt The Count, but frankly I find it hard to believe that werewolves concern themselves with the Laser / Akto debate. If anything I'd guess that they'd favour Jack Wolfskin.

1) last hikers i have seen eaten by werewolves in Scotland, were using a 40 year old tent .
2) werewolves know how to open zippers, so a double skin tent is of no protection against them :)

Re: Dulnain Werewolves

All this is very interesting but full moon falls on May the 25th, the day after the Challenge has finished so it's not really anything to worry about. Vampires on the other hand could be active during the Challenge. In Braemar there is a sub-species of vampire, Vampyrus fifeus armsus, commonly known as the Wallet Vampire. If you fall victim to one of these creatures of the night you will wake-up with a headache, your wallet will be completely drained and you won't be able to remember the a thing about the night before.

Re: Dulnain Werewolves

No problem for me. I have a padlock on my wallet, it NEVER comes out at night and I'm not going to Braemar!

Re: Dulnain Werewolves

I only travel with English money in my wallet. It's Vampire proof. Cheers.
