I thought about starting from Plockton.

I'm on standby list so probably not on the 2013 crossing but I started at Plockton last year and wish I'd had longer to linger and explore the place. It's a lovely village to start from, though I think the walk from station to village and back again probably puts off some. Enjoy - hope the sun is shining for you.
