Forest map and way down to Glen Carron

The Forest Commission map http://maps.forestry.gov.uk/imf/imf.jsp?site=fcscotland_ext& shows the forest by Sgurr A Gharraidh as not mature and easy to get down to Glen Carron and then to Craig, and the track to the bridge at NH047493

Grough route has it as mature forest. Looking to take the high path by Carn Odhar to the Coulin Pass and then across to Sgurr A Gharraidh - then down to the road to cross the bridge and onwards. Comments please.

Re: Forest map and way down to Glen Carron

Hi Martin,

If this helps, there's a good pony path from just over the top of the Coulin Pass that heads down the hill eastwards through the wood towards Craig.

Re: Forest map and way down to Glen Carron

That will do nice Alan thanks. Walked that pass many years back to the station. So will look for the path to Craig. Day 1 sussed.

Re: Forest map and way down to Glen Carron

Duh,

Alan, I too am heading for Craig via Carn Odhar. I thought I'd have to drop down the Coulin Pass track from 024500. Is the path from around 024500 to Craig fairly clear? (I've looked on Google and can't see anything obvious).
