Re: Planning your route to avoid the wind farms

We don't need to make a detour. Rather we may wish to make an informed and coherent response, in good humour and recognising the absurdity of these shabby little men. They fear us - and they fear us in essence because we have better jokes, we love eachother and we are frankly bored to tears by their posturing.

Re: Planning your route to avoid the wind farms

Hi Joy

After having had a good look, I can't find the current progress anywhere. The contractors finished the ground survey a year ago and held a 'dry run' for the turbine convoy in December 2011.
I would imagine that by May 2013 they will be well under way with their haul roads and access tracks.

From the developer's website:
"Alan Macintyre is the Project Manager for Dunmaglass Wind Farm. He has been overseeing every aspect to ensure the site is suitable and that all the necessary studies and assessments are carried out thoroughly. Alan is available on 0141 404 5526 or email alan.macintyre@res-ltd.com "

If going that way I would suggest letting Alan Macintyre know, so that he can tell his chaps to down tools. Perhaps he could escort you through the site and give you a guided tour?

Perhaps he can tell you how green his project is at the same time.

Joy - you're not, by any chance, serious about Argentine Shiraz Powder?? No, I thought not. I should be so lucky......

Humphrey - please translate??

Re: Planning your route to avoid the wind farms

Hi Alan. Thanks for info. I'll contact the man in due course.
Hello Jean. No, not serious....I wish also. It sounds like it should be possible though, doesn't it?

Apologies for stupidity in posting a question then going away the next day so can't receive responses until now, nor thank the people who sent them.
(Which one is the embarrassed icon?)
