This map consolidates the four elements that made up SNH's "Mapping Scotland's Wildness" project in 2010.

Here are links to the source PDF files. They're all relatively large (10MB or so) files, so be patient!

Perceived Naturalness
Rugged or challenging terrain
Remoteness from roads and ferries
Absence of Modern Artifacts

My intended route is very green. That used to be my favorite color when I was a wee boy.
