hadrians wall

did anyone see the 6 oclock news today . some hairbrained artist and i use the word artist very lightly decided that it would be thought provocking to install 400 balloons that change colour right across the wall which is proteced monument and i presume pay for by tax payer what a total waste of money

Re: hadrians wall

And it was done by an artists collective called YesYesNo.
Personally I would have put the emphasis on the NO.

NoNoNo springs to mind.

I believe it's true symbolic message was... B0ll0cks

Re: hadrians wall

For as long as the Beeb have it up, you can find out more about it by clicking

Re: Hadrians Wall

It's a small part of part of Festival 2012, who also had a wonderful series of installations on coastal sites around the British Isles that linked to the route taken by the Olympic Torch. Their Peace Camps were inspired by the idea of the Olympic Truce Click here to see more.

And three weeks ago there was the first instance of a large-scale light installation involving several hundred people on Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, which continues until tomorrow evening. Click here for a review

Re: Hadrians Wall

I came across the "peacecamp" at Dunstanburgh Castle. It was basically a campsite that lit up at night and made funny noises.

Worra load of old dingo's kidneys. They'd have been better spending the money on whisky supplies for retired NHS personnel staff.

favourite dehydrated food:curried sentient space goat from the sulphur mountains of epsilon seven.

with boiled rice, obviously.

Re: Hadrians Bawl

Many of us get lit up at night and make funny noises oh yea . . .

Re: Hadrians Bawl

I wonder how many Hadrians it took to build it in the first place.

Re: Hadrians Bawl

Well, I LIKED those balloons. They're only temporary after all, and harmless, and fun. (Not like wind farms......)

Don't lets turn into a bunch of killjoys

Re: Hadrians Bawl

It's probably in need of redecorating anyway

Re: Hadrians Bawl

No problem with pretty lights.
Depends where the money is coming from.

Re: Hadrians Bawl

Agree with you Jean
A bunch of old hill walking killjoys.
You get the same swaying flashing lights with LSD !!
