"Jeremy's Crossing"

A number of people have asked me for the words to the song which I sang at the dinner on Friday, so here they are. Those of you who were not there ought to have no difficulty figuring out the tune!

Anyone interested in the story behind the song, well, I'm busily writing up my Challenge Blog now, and will let you know when it is completed.

JEREMY'S CROSSING

1. Oh the first day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
The hangover to end all hangovers!

2. The second day of crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Stuck in Oban bothy, and the hangover to end all hangovers.

3. The third day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Mountain rescue shout, stuck in Oban bothy etc.

4. The fourth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
All day on the roads, mountain rescue shout etc.

5. The fifth day of my crossing was a day that i felt cursed -
Union politics! All day on the roads etc.

6. The sixth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Deep river crossing, union politics etc.

7. The seventh day of crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Nasty squelchy peat bogs, deep river crossing etc.

8. The eighth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Missed out all my mountains, nasty squelchy peat bogs etc.

9. The ninth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Didn't pack the suncream, missed out all my mountains etc.

10. The tenth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
No spare beds at Tarfside, didn't pack the suncream etc.

11. The eleventh day of crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Yet more road walking, no spare beds at Tarfside etc.

12. Oh the twelfth day of my crossing was a day that I felt cursed -
Can't believe it's over! Yet more road walking etc.
