Oh, this weather.....

It just goes on & on. Forecast for Challenge area seems to be snow showers up high, more-than-average rain lower, colder-than-average everywhere, sometimes windy, low chance of cloud-free Munros, and similarly unsettled right to the end. Why did I look???

One site does say it may be brighter this Saturday and Sunday.....here's hoping.

Still, once we're off, we're off and nothing's going to stop us!!!

Re: Oh, this weather.....

Don't fret Jean
Mallaig forecast is for unbroken sun on Thursday then showers and sun for Friday and Saturday. They always err on the side of he gloomy - how many times have I not gone to the heights because of a wrong forecast.
When the sun comes it will be all the more appreciated.
Worked today - spent most of it in tgoc planning. Bored stiff with fiddling with kit now so will not do so till tomorrow night. Greased the threads on my cooker - should have done so when I returned last year.
No B&B's available in Montrose I have learned - not surprising when you consider there will be 300 challengers there.....Freddy

Re: Oh, this weather.....

Met office weather forecast just now indicates a high pressure area drifting in from the West on Friday. This is good news for the weekend at least and looks like it will be a reasonably gentle cold Northerly which not much in the way of rain or snow on it. Innit?
This is vastly better than the same time last year.
Cheer up peeps. Take thick socks and some malty anaesthetic.
