Hi William,
I don't know of a store near Euston. But, on your walk from Glasgow Central to Queen Street you will pass Tiso's and they have the gas and other outdoor stuff.
They have waterproofs too, but, I wouldn't bother. Weather in Scotland during May this year will be sublime.
