Airecentre Pacers had full teams on Sunday for the fifth and final race in this year’s West Yorkshire Peco Cross Country League, which took place over a challenging course on Otley Chevin and was organised by Valley Striders with the assistance of Airecentre Pacers.
Will Morris continued his fine form throughout the series to finish in 22nd position. Paul Grindley was the next Pacer home in 85th position followed by Richard Clarke (97th), Jason Nicholson (99th), Andy Ackroyd (110th) and Tony Pfeiffer (121st). John Buddle and Chris Hill returned to the team to come in 132nd and 142nd respectively. Richard Archer (147th) and Tony Rivers (176th) completed the men’s team.
Jenny Beaumont came in first for the ladies’ team in 35th position completing an excellent season. Jackie Ackroyd in her first year for the club came in 47th (her best position in the series) followed by Lynne Morris, who for the second year running won her current age group overall, in 60th position. Rhona Neilson, who had taken part in every race in the series, came home in 78th position.
