Airecentre Pacers Report Week ending 18 March 2012


On Saturday 10 March Gavin Watmuff and Ruth Murphy represented Airecentre Pacers by taking part in the 25 mile Trollers Trot race over difficult terrain involving 3000 feet of climbs and took respectively 4.15 (62nd) and 4.54 (149th). Paul Grindley took part on Sunday 18 March in the East Hull 20 run and completed it in a fast time of 2.25.09 coming 89th in a field of over 400.


The Peco Cross Country full results were published last week. The Airecentre Pacers Ladies’ team completed an excellent season just failing by one point to gain promotion to the Premier Division. Their points tally was better than all but the top two teams in the Premier Division. Stephanie Haughton had an outstanding season coming second overall in the whole competition (including first place in the fourth race) and Lynne Morris was as dependable as ever coming yet again first in the over 60 category. The men’s team retained a steady position roughly midway in the First Division.
