Airecentre Pacers Report Week ending 20 February 2012



Airecentre Pacers entered teams on Sunday at Golden Acre Park in frosty conditions in the fourth of the Peco cross country series.

The ladies team had a good day with Stephanie Haughton having an excellent performance to come first in the ladies’ section. Jenny Beaumont (37th) and Angela Crawford (54th) did well despite suffering in both cases from knee problems. Lynne Morris came 71st and maintained her good form to stay first in her age category. The ladies’ team was completed by Rhona Neilson (85th), Amanda Hall (111th), Julie Stead (131st), Sue Milnes (137th) and Linda Braham (141st).

The men’s team was depleted by injuries and there was a shortfall of one in the team counters. Will Morris was the first man home in a very respectable 29th position. Paul Grindley was 73rd followed by Richard Clarke (108th) and Gavin Watmuff in 133rd position. John Tate (154th), Chris Hill (173rd) and Chris Garnett (176th) completed the men’s team.
