There is notice of road closure around the library area, on 6th December between 5pm and 6pm. So I would imagine the Xmas switch-on would be then.

Just had "WN4 Local Link" through the door, announcing carols round the Ashton Christmas Tree at 7pm on Wednesday 4 December. An Ashton Churches Together event, apparently, but I can't see anything about it on any of the church websites.

Oh for a half-decent local newspaper! Perhaps Jamie in Tom & Jerry's knows...
