The fishing rights belong to Cromptons fishing club, but the lake doesn't belong to them, so I don't know why it's called Cromptons.
The club used to meet in the Angel pub on Warrington Road, but now I think they meet in the Catholic Club once a month.
According to what's said, they would welcome new members.

Hi.

The water is owned by Cromptons Angling Club.They meet at The Kings Arms I think on the last Friday of the month,membership is £25 a year.I am about to start fishing again,and would welcome company.
