Co-op road, Bryn

If ever there was a deterrent not to go to a shop the road from Bryn Rd across the car park has got to be the best.

Who wants to risk damage to their car just to get there. I am amazed that the Co-op haven't done anything about this even if it's not their responsibility.

I went tonight but I wont take the car over that bomb site again!

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

Agree about the car park to the coop at bryn, but there are two bad potholes up stubshaw way one on the main rd just past the memorial garden where the pedestrian refuge is.The other has you turn onto the dirt road front of the Labour club if you are going to Shawcoss care home

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

If you can afford the telephone charges queuing on the council's number, they must record complaints about potholes in public/adopted roads. Shortly after a report they become responsible for paying for any vehicle damage sustained.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

The one down Hilton Street is a surprise too. Nearly had the wheels off the other day. Watch out for that one!

My point about the road at Bryn is that it will be stopping people shopping there. It has got gradually worse over the years and is nearly impossible now to get through.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

Wigan council wont do anything all you have to do is to look at Bolton Road from Tesco up to lights This road has just been resurfaced by the councils CUT PRICE contractors and is now so bad that it needs resurfacing again. It may have been cheap but who is going to pay for it resurfaced not the cowboys who did it I'm sure its the ratepayers who are paying for shoddy workmanship and the council who are allowing it. Today at the ASDA turn off in Golborne road were traffic lights had been placed 2 young lads were repairing the road and they didn't have a clue. The highways should be held to account for this cheep and nasty way of looking after our roads.

'the ASDA turn off in Golborne road'?

The ASDA turnoff is in Edge Green Lane.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

Sorry its you who should get a life JEMMYH your comment had nothing whatsoever to do with the thread and for your information you turn off Golborne Road on to edge green lane and everybody ive spoken to understands what i said and my brain isn't the size of a peanut. Your comments on all other threads you've made are the same NIT PICKING CHILDISH and you must be about 10 and a disgrace to BRYN the adjudicator should look into your childish comments and bar you from the site letting NORMAL people make there points without a child making comments it obvious you just try to get people going with the comments you make. Those who want to play football shouldn't expect someone else to pay for it.YOU SAD person. And if you want to KNIT PICK the three Sisters is on LOCKET Road not BRYN Road DUMBO.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

Franker Lee, the Three Sisters is off Three Sisters Road, not Lockett Road. As it is, from Ashton football ground you would walk down Bryn Road to observe those who pay for their own entertainment rather than leach off others to pay for it for them.

To turn into Asda you would turn right off Edge Green Lane, not Golborne Road.

Get an education.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

"the Three Sisters is off Three Sisters Road, not Lockett Road."

If that were true, which it isn't, it would be the Three Sisters ARE off Three Sisters Road. The Three Sisters recreation area IS off Lockett Rd, as Three Sisters Road leads to and is within the Three Sisters recreation area, so you don't turn off at all.

"To turn into Asda you would turn right off Edge Green Lane, not Golborne Road."

To turn off to Asda from Golborne Rd, you would turn right onto Edge Green Lane. Just as Frank stated.

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

JemmyH just like the turn off for the 3 sisters you say is Bryn Road, Mr Perfect. Must be same junction

Re: Co-op road, Bryn

"Myrtle Creamcake. Is the turn off to Asda junction 23 off the M6 then."

No, don't be silly. Edge Green Lane is a turn off to ASDA, because it leads to ASDA, it's not rocket science.

Just accept your petty attempt at pedantry has back fired, and made you look the fool.

Jemmy "The ASDA turnoff is in Edge Green Lane."

The ASDA turnoff is Edge Green Lane, which is off Golborne Rd. Not "in", get a brain you halfwit. In Edge Green Lane, indeed. :)
