Ashton Town FC

Just wondered what people think about their local football club now that there is a reversal in fortunes since John Brownrigg became the manager? If the club is to continue improving they will need to generate a fair bit of money. One way to do that is through sponsorship. Are you a local company willing to offer some form of sponsorship and be a part of a growing club with ambition? Also the club needs better support. The cost of watching non-league football at Ashton's level is very reasonable....£5 for adults. What would it take to get supporters through the gate? Give me your views...thanks!

Re: Ashton Town FC

£5 for 90 minutes Peter? That's less than minimum wage. Forget it!

On topic, if you go half a mile down Bryn Road, to the Three Sisters race circuit on a race-day, you'll find that the lads out having a day's racing will have paid about £100 each for entry fees. How about the players paying £100 each every time they have a football match?

Those who want to play football shouldn't expect someone else to pay for it.
