Yesterday at 3.30pm there was ANOTHER collision at the extremely busy Junction Bryn St / Liverpool Rd / Warrington Rd / Gerard St.

Fortunately only the cars had a minor collision and nobody was hit on this occassion. There were several families from different Schools crossing the road with the assistance of the lollipop lady when the collision happened.

The driver got out and starting hurling accusations at the lollipop lady in front of all the families. My own daughter was upset by the furore.

Something needs to be done ASAP to make this Junction safer - only last week there was a Court Case after the lollipop lady was hit by a car at the same junction.

This junction is an absolute nightmare for people crossing and also for cars turning right. Drivers get frustrated with only a few cars getting through and they then jump the lights! Put this together with the schools crossing and it's a recipe for disaster. The whole traffic light system in Ashton should be reviewed and maybe a right turn filter be introduced. Surely someone at the council should be looking at this?
