Have just seen the list of Ashton people receiving Parish Relief in 1806 which appears on the Ashton History website. It includes my 5x great grandfather, John Latham (1732 - 1814). He resided in Warrington and was a hinge maker. Would be very interested to hear from any other Latham descendants.

I was at Ashton Secondary Modern School in the early 1950s, I think that one of the teachers was named Latham and lived in Garswood.
