My partner was working in Ashton on a Saturday and Sunday,as she has done many times, killing time waiting for her I have Parked in the Gerrard Centre. This time I was issued with a parking fine for being over the time limit. Firstly I have never seen parking restriction notices, on any visit.They are obviously very discreetly positioned.
I also object to the amount of fine £75.00 even in London they do not fine this amount.
On my visits we have always spent money within Ashton, Hotels, Restaurants and shops.
This will not be the case in future.
Your notice board entrants are correct. No wonder Town Centres are dead.
Somewhere like Ashton should be encouraging visitors both local and otherwise with free parking.
