I replied to peterP then re-read his posting and deleted mine. He does have a point, it is not anti Monarchy, after all Princess Anne does not draw any money under the Civil List and refused a title for her children.
But even with all the others I bet it still works out cheaper than a republican system. I read somewhere that the president of France costs more than our royal familly. And heaven only knows how much the president of Italy costs with his particular tastes!!
