The mill down Windsor rd way was called Makerfield Mill & I think it closed late 70s

But someone who worked there told me it was known as 'The Weaving Shed' by locals. The 70s sounds about right for its closure and takeover by Chilwoods.

It Was called the Weaving Shed Dave....My wife was a weaver there from 1955 until our first born in 1964 and my elder brother was a `Tackler there for many years.
It was owned by Courtalds in its last years and when it closed they sent him to a factory in Tiverton But that also closed . He died there 15 years ago.

When did the Weaving Shed close as a mill? Chilwoods was incorporated in 1990, but when did they take over the mill?
