Re: Copper Sulphate

I'm intrigued, Ian. What's the experiment?

Re: Copper Sulphate

At one time you could get small quantities of chemicals such as copper sulphate in pharmacies. You will probably also get it at a garden centre. It can be used to as a soil conditioner for hydrangeas to make sure the flowers are blue rather than pink.

Re: Re: Copper Sulphate

You cant get it from pharmacies anymore they wont allow it sold over the counter. Buy a chemistry set from argos there's all in there.

Thanks everyone, I'll give it a try.

Re: Re: Copper Sulphate

Yeah you will get one from Argos no problem, I got the burnt marks on top of my son's drawers to prove it. What was I thinking when I brought the chemistry set?

Re: Copper Sulphate

I remember having one when I was a kid and making up my own "experiments".

The kitchen stank with burning sulphur. I'll get the lad one and see what smells he can make.
