i have looked at our family tree as we go further back than that but we have no Unsworths in. Have you looked at genesrunited.co.uk to see if local people are researching the same tree - I saw one entry for the same name but one year out. If you know which church they belonged to I could perhaps go look to see if we could find the grave and email pictures for your records - do you know if they were catholic or protestant ? Good luck with your search !

It covers civil registration in the years from 1837 onwards, and is best for marriages, although there are some births and deaths. Ashton is listed under Wigan.
