The team from Makerfield Against Development (M.A.D.) are holding a public meeting in Park Lane Club, Downall Green Road Bryn on the 12th December at 8:00pm to present the facts about the extension to the South Lancs Industrial Estate and the planned road development at Rose Hill Bryn. There will be a visual presentation showing the proposed layout for the extension and the accompanying new road,followed by a question and answer session about the effects on the area. The proposed new road will have major implications for anyone who travels to work via Wigan Road or Bryn Road and it will result in increased traffic along Soughers lane. The new road will join the A49 Wigan Road at Rose Hill between the Golden Ball and the Brooklands Nursery (formally Miss Rose’s infant school); it will then go across the fields behind the Nursery and the Coop to join Bryn Road at St Peter Church.
