That`s incorrect Andrede.
I was told by planning that they didn`t own it and I have a map to prove it. It is supposed to belong to Lord Gerard but since the cross was erected in1665 it has become an ancient monument site and is protected as such. We, the people of Stubshaw Cross are the rightful owners.
