Watch out - thieves about

Just to let people know to take care - this morning I found my garage door open and two bikes missing.

Both are mountain bikes; one a gents, silver and dark grey, with speedometer and black mudguards; the other a ladies, purple.

Further to this....

I left a message for the local Police Community Support Officer on Sunday by calling the police telephone number. I didn't want a crime number - just to let the police know that burglaries were taking place in Windsor Road.

So far I've had no response. Fortunately I've been able to use the Police internet reporting website available from the Community Forum homepage.

And further to this....

I had a phone call from Merseyside police to say that my information had been sent to them, and not to Manchester police.

I thought that I had slipped up, but on re-entering the information, I find that it is in fact sent to Merseyside police, although the link is from the Manchester police website.

Looks like a complete waste of time.

Re: And further to this....

Hi Ray
I once used the website to report "boy racers" on Locket Road.
I got what I think was an automated email reply.
And that was it!!

Re: Further to this....

Dave. The trouble is ,your not important enoughto warrant a quick response.
You need to be arrogant, ignorant and be a magistrate and maybe a church warden.
I sent a very nice letter to such a guy last week in which I threatened to stand outside his house with a placard.I promised I would be alone and would not in any way break the law.
He took that letter to the police station and ordered them to arrest me and two hours later I had the nice friendly local police sargeant knocking on my door,, and he was here an hour no less....I wasn,t arrested of course but its on the cards(placards?) for a later date...
