CCTV

Hi
First two ATM are removed with a JCB in full view of the CCTV cameras and now a horrific stabbing. To the untrained eye again in full view of both sets of cameras.
There seems a multitude of questions re these cameras.

Are they monitored.
are the main cameras recorded.
If these two incidents have not benefitted from these cameras, what is the point.

To add to this, Fridays evening paper informed us that the open meetings between senior police officers and the public are to cease. The reason given being there are other channels of communication open.
If they are counting the Township Forums amongst that.

Will the last person out of Ashton please turn the lights out.

Alan

Camera's or No Drink Zone in the Town seems to be only politcally cosmetic. rushed in prior to an election . Then its Lets go to sleep again ,comrades !! .
With regards to a multitude of questions,we should all start questioning our local Councillor's, but DO WE ?????

Re: CCTV

More evidence of Greater Manchester Police's "Don't Care in the Community" scheme. As long as they get their payslips and they have pound signs in their eyes, they will be happy to be highly-paid pen-pushers, without a care who gets robbed or murdered.

Apparently Health & Safety stopped them from going out into the street, as they might get injured in action or they might have to arrest somebody, and they could get sued for infringing their human rights.

You could tell I was getting a bit satirical towards the end, but don't be surprised if that happens to be the case in the near future.
