skate park

I'm a teenager from ashton and as you probably know, teenagers hang out eveywhere in ashton now, but a few months ago things were looking up for us skateboarders and bmxers as the news of a new skatepark to be built in jubilee park. we have yet to see any plans in developing this skatepark but have had an idea ourselves. i and a few friends have recomended that the ashton skatepark should be built on the abandoned all weather court behind the captains lane youth club. we have decided to start a petition and spread the word. if you could give us any information or help us out at all it would be most apreciated.
you can contact me at final_aproach@hotmail.com or call me on 07784881296.

thanks alot

Re: skate park

The person to contact to enquire about progress (or lack of) with the skatepark is Jan Johnson at Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust - J.Johnson@wlct.org.

Re: skate park

Ashton Library is advertising that the plans for the improvement of Jubilee Park are available for viewing there, and local residents are invited to give their comments on the plans. The consultation ends on November 26th.

Will there be a public consultation day?
Has anyone seen the plans?
