Is it true that there is to be a mobile skateboard facility on the Market Square over Easter? I believe it is to be paid for from Brighter Bourough money.

I have not seen anything on the community or youth part of this website, the moderator is usually up to speed on local events.

I have heard of the mobile skatepark in Wigan, but there's been no news about it visiting Ashton. I've heard no more about the proposal to build a permanent one in Jubilee Park either.

The mobile skateboard facility has been funded by local ward councillors from Ashton, Bryn, Lowton and Hindley, as a facility for the whole borough, to be run charitably, not politically! Its first visit to Ashton is on Easter Saturday, from 11.00am to 4.30 pm on Ashton market.

The last I heard about the proposed facility in Jubilee Park was that it had been stalled by an investigation by the Local Government Ombudsman, due to an official complaint from a local resident.
