Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

I'm afraid it's not just Ashton Heath. Take a walk down Wigan Road from Bryn to Ashton. You need to dodge like a boxer to avoid the stuff. And if the dog **** doesn't get you, the broken glass will.

It's a tragedy. Such a great community marred by a minority.

My grandmother, who is blind and can be seen in Ashton every market day with her guide-dog, dutifully clears up her dog's produce even though legally she has no obligation to do so. And she has a hard time doing it but she does. If she can manage it, so should everyone else. It takes two seconds. There is no excuse for not clearing up.

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath : The whole area

Sorry to expand the subject from the Heath, but the subject is one that needs to be addressed over the whole of the area.
When walking to pick up my young lad from
Nicol Mere school from Stubshaw I have to watch my step all the way. I don't take the same route each time but the problem is the same; all through the Mucklows estate, Bryn road and especially Bolton road near the traffic lights.

This is no way to live.

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

The park at Stubshaw is the same.
Both places are plagued with irresponsible
dog owners.

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

"Under recent legislation a local authority can designate land upon which it is an offence not to clean up after your dog. Your local authority enforces this power and can tell you whether it covers your area. The maximum fine for an offence is £1,000 (level 3 on the standard scale). Alternatively, councils have the power to issue a £50 fixed penalty fine.

Byelaws can also be made by local authorities to impose dog bans, make dog fouling an offence and insist that dogs be kept on leads." DEFRA ( Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Re: Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

What about Gypsies and their ****ing???????

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

No one should leave parcels behind.

I just watched one woman with a child dirty outside by the garages. What is that telling the next generation (her child was with her)how to behave, and she looked pregnant. If her child caught the desease from another dogs poop she would not be happy.

Granted it was a big dog (part lab) but thats no excuse. The dog should be trained to poop in her back garden then took walks.

Inconsiderate residents make me me sick.I used to have a Bichon Frisé and always carried a small poly bag. Some even allow the dog off lead and crack on its not there dog when they poop.

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

Very odd raising a thread from 5 years ago!

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

The gypsies move on.....the dog owners live here!

I have some sympathy for gypsies ...they seem to get blamed for everything. However , they dont do themselves any favours by leaving loads of litter.
Dont know about ****ing though??

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

Strongly agree with you Chris. The plastic bag thing is weird. And I have never actually see anyone dropping a bag yet ...

Changing the thread slightly and closer to home .......... what about cats fouling in your garden??? No one ever mentions CAT ****!!!

Re: Dog **** on Ashton Heath

Let's change the thread even further and look at bird ****. those birds are a disgrace they **** all over the place then simply fly away. who owns these birds? they should be made to clean up after them or the council needs to do something about it.

Well, of course i'm taking the p*** there, but thats exactly what it sounds like.
It started off with dogs*** on ashton heath and ends up with cat s***ing on lawns.

I agree with dog owners being made to clear up if their dogs foul pavements etc., but when it comes to woods and fields etc., i feel it's a little different.

You'll be wanting farmers to clean up their fields after their cows next.
