Re: Let's move on...

Yes, perhaps Franzen will now realise that there is a difference between a local election where people don't vote and a national election where people don't wont a load of scouse Hatton cronies dictating to them. We want a party with principles and views not just negative put downs.

Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Sue

I have never been a Hatton crony or even for that matter a member of his Labour party.

What about you?

Best wishes

Peter

Who I support is my business, unlike you who should declare everything when you apply to stand. Nice to know you are not a Hattonite as I have heard

Hi Sue

RE: "a load of scouse Hatton cronies"

Perhaps you should learn to engage your brain before repeating parrot fashion the false and malicious rumours put out by the Wigan New labour Mafia.

Also you should show respect to all those people who are using their free time to help improve the Borough of Wigan regardless of their place of origin.

Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Peter
I don't know if Sue and I agree on much so I will quote a well known CAP councillor.
"Do you resort to abuse because you've nothing constructive to say?"
You seem to have been hoisted on your pretard!!
Come on Peter don't be so bitter, then we can really MOVE ON.
There are good Labour councillors and Good CAP councillors and good Tory councillors and bad ones as well.Oh and good and bad Liberal Demoocrats (Sorry) I forgot them.
Let's discuss topics relating to Ashton, we have something quite unique on this web site, it would be a pity to waste it with petty sniping.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Alan

Name one good local Labour Councillor.

I'll leave to the people of Ashton to raise the local issues then I'll comment if I have anything constructive to say.

Until then

Best wishes

Peter

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Peter
It would be remiss not to reply to your request, but I think it is only fair to broaden the answer.
Good Councillors I have had dealings with

Labour Eunice Smethurst
Tory Michael Winstanley
CAP Paul Tushingham

This list can be added to but you only asked for one name.

Kind regards
Alan

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Alan

You appear to have misunderstood the question. I asked you to "Name one good local Labour Councillor".

Councillor Eunice Smethurst, whatever her attributes is not local.

Councillors Michael Winstanley and Paul Tushingham are not Labour.

The more important matter that you have avoided is regarding my comment "I'll leave it to the people of Ashton to raise the local issues then I'll comment if I have anything constructive to say".

Why, when so few Ashton residents contribute to this forum, are other contributers subjected to such abuse?

Apart from its blatant New Labour political bias and open hostility to the Community Action Party The main thing that strikes me as being "quite unique about this website " is its lack of popularity.

I refer Peter to the question I asked some weeks ago regarding the bus stops at Bryn.

Hi Andy
I answered on May 6, 05 - 2:32 PM

The people of Makerfield voted Labour to keep the Tories out.

That is not the same as voting for McCartney.

Perhaps New Labour will now keep their promises to get more police on the beat. Or is that too much to expect after only 18 years on the payroll?

Don't hold your breath.

simple maths

Hi Peter
You have twice mentioned 18 years of a labour government. It is quite simple really to work out 2005-1997=8.
We had 18 years of conservative government.
While you are so keen at giving us your views on this web site, perhaps you can explain your despicable attack on the new Pope at at the council meeting.
PLEASE NOTE I am not a Roman catholic nor labour old or new. But I do wish you would be more constructive, then we might be more prepared to listen, never forget people who put CAP in are equally capable of removing them.

Re: simple maths

Hi Alan
I dont recall ever mentioning "18 years of a labour government" or "a despicable attack on the new Pope at at the council meeting".
Can you please claify?
Try not to repeat New Labour spin without first taking the trouble to establish the facts.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

I don't know why I am bothering to reply really, I have not misunderstood the question,"Name one good local Labour Councillor".(copied and pasted)Now you move the goal posts and ask for a local one.
You constantly attack New Labour but then procede to behave like Tony Blair and change the question when you get an answer you don't like.
I named Michael Winstanley and Paul Tushingham for balance. Incidentaly Michael Winstanley is Ashton born and bred.
Are we now to expect your petty sniping because he represents Orrell. To put it bluntly if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. I don't think anyone wants to attack you to start with, but you seem bent on attacking anyone who does not think the CAP should rule the world.
As to your second point, I have and other people have raised points re Ashton, we await your replies.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Peter,
I have annswered your first question in another posting.
As regards "New Labour" spin, I think it is apparent from my postings as regards my political affiliation I am definately a "Crossbencher".
Information regarding the despicable attack on the new Pope was obtained from many sources.
I await your reply.
But before you do I must state what is apparent from the information available, the actions of Pope Benedict 16 when he was a teenager in Facist Germany to avoid being an active member of the Hitler Youth took extreme courage. Courage I am sure he will carry forward as the head of the Roman Catholic Church.
As for my Christianity I enjoy the fellowship of all denominations.
May God Bless You

Hi Peter.
Please don't answer a question with a question, leave that to the poloticians, oh I forgot you are one?
The previous posting does not need any explanation I am sure.

Hi Peter
Allegation, WHAT ALLEGATION, I asked gave you the opportunity to expalain the reported remarks you made regarding the new Pope in a council meeting.
If you were misquoted go ahead and tell us.
Kind Regards

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Your unwarranted allegation was: "perhaps you can explain your despicable attack on the new Pope at at the council meeting."
Do you know actually what was said or are you just a parrott for New Labour's mudslingers?

Town: peter.franzen@community-action.com

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Peter
Once again this does not concern "Matters relating to Ashton"
To answer your question firstly, no I am not a parrot for New or Old labour mudslingers. I have heard expressions of dissaproval of what you are "alledged" to have said from all three of the other parties on Wigan council and ceryain memebers of the CAP asked could they be disassociated from your commets.I then said, if you have been misquoted can you explain, or words to that effect.
As an elected represenative, please do not say "you have no need to explain" YOU chose to stand, and in doing so put yourself in a position that makes you accountable for what you say.
So here Peter is your opportunity to put the record straight.
THEN CAN WE REVERT TO MATTERS AFFECTING ASHTON,enough smke screens!!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Let's move on...

Hi Peter,
Just looking again at you reply, you say I did not name a local labour councillor. Was that meant to be your sense of humour? Or din't the leader of the CAPknow we have a one party state in Ashton, nothing much changes.
