Does anyone know what the situation is regarding the town centre building work?

I see that they have started on the new Aldi which seems to be taking a surprisingly long time.

However, the new Tesco is up and running - and refusing Clubcard points on fuel!!

I'm sticking with cheaper fuel elsewhere because of it!

Just on the Tesco thing - they aren't giving club card points on the fuel because it's Esso fuel and not Tesco - you wouldn't expect Sainsbury's to give you Tesco club card points would you? Anyway.....you'll still find it's cheap!

Err - no you wouldn't - very true.

But then again, Sainsburys dont have Tesco collecting the money.

Esso, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Shell, - not my problem. If they can do it at the supermarket - they should do it elsewhere. Why should I loose out?

My biggest bug-bear is the fact that when I put a fivers worth of fuel in at the ESSO / Tesco station, I have to queue for hours on end while everyone pays for their weekly shopping.

Asda at Golborne is much less complicated.
