Hey, the number two winner - we just received notice from them about their award and wanted to post it here for those interested in this matter - here goes -

Date: May 4, 2006

Hi Everyone,

Great News! Paw Park of Historic Sanford was voted the No. 2 Dog Park in the US for 2006 by Dog Fancy magazine and Deramaxx. Paw Park is being featured in the June edition of Dog Fancy, as one of the top 10 dog parks in the US.

As a winner of the award, Paw Park is receiving a grant for $2500 to be used for future improvements to the park! We are earmarking the grant for purchase of agility equipment for the park. Congratulations is also in order for Fleet People's Park, who place No. 8 on the list. More information on the award available at:

In addition, tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the park's Grand Opening held on May 5, 2001. The park has gone through many changes over the past five years. Thanks to everyone for your continued support of the park! This dog park would have never come this far without you! We're very fortunate to have such great dog lovers and community support here in Central Florida. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
