The word "timberwolf" usually means any gray wolf living now or formerly in the forested areas of North America, rather than in the Arctic tundra. See this article:

You need to ask your co-worker what percentage of wolf the "timberwolf" parent is. And what the ancestors of the "husky" really are. Siberian husky? Or some type of cross?

I have a co-worker that says he has a mix of a huskey and timberwolf puppies and I can have one if I want. I have never heard of a timberwolf. Is that going to be a good god. or not? Anbody have any ideas? Thank you.
