Problems editing *.dds files using DXTBmp.

Hello everyone,

I would like to edit some textures in one game and make them transparent (practically invisible ), but i was unable to do this...

I would like to make a flagpole ( a part of flag model ) transparent using Alpha Channel. This file is in *.dds format DDS DXT1 to be precise.

This texture seems to be 3D not 2D as others that i made transparent. Maybe this editor couldn't be used to edit 3D objects?

Or first i need to make this object 2D?

It is strange since in others *.dds files i set Alpha Channel Black and those .dds became transparent.


If anyone knows how to make this flagpole transparent, please tell me. Thanks in advance!!
