Re: Light Pylon

You should be able to.

Just use the Light(...) command. I can`t remember what the parameters are but the scasm documentation should have them. I have done searchlight objects that way in the (distant) past

Re: Re: Light Pylon

thanks for the reply Martin.

I was thinking about a Light Pylon with the fs2002/fs2004 ´landing lights´ type of light.
The scasm light , old type is too unrealistic

is it possible to have an API and add the newer lights to illuminate the ramp? thanks

Re: Re: Re: Light Pylon

The FS landing lights are done by effects (fx) files triggered at appropriate places on aircraft defined in the aircraft.cfg.
The only way I think you can place effects in scenery is by fixed bgl.
Using the SDK effects placing tool you can place an effect anywhere you want. However this means that each ramp would have to be designed seperately OR the ramp could be a macro and the lights would have to be manually placed into the same locations.
The effectsplacer lets you define the times an effect is active so you could set them only to come on at night.

Fiddly and longwinded but thats the only way I can think of

Re: Re: Re: Re: Light Pylon

Thanks a lot Martin , I didn`t know about the triggers effects and landing lights
however
my intention is to design a light Pylon like this
one , and I don`t know how,
it`s being made with Gmax I guess , my biggest question is
how do they put those lights in there
thanks
