At an AOMCI meet, one of the members looked at my WG-4 and said that it still had the restrictor on the carburetor. He said it was put there to keep the Wizards from being as fast as the Mercs. Is this correct? If so where is it? Is it part of the choke assembly, or is it the plastic "Venturi" on the carb outlet?
I have a Mercury KD4 torn down at moment/ It has the plastic insert. Probably to make idle smoother and to restrict RPM to what rods would stand. The 1189 rods were a little on skinny side. Note: I said "probably"
