I have a wizard 25 hp need som help with year and who made it what parts are avail for it serial # 175A1676 cant read model number

How many cylinders, carburetor, magneto brand and model id or post a picture
Could be a 1967 Chrysler made Wizard?
Many changes in the outboard market during the late 1950's thru the 1960's
so identity of maker is step one.

Mag = phelon company
2 cyl
Flywheel =model f 4065 b
Has place for elct start but not equip is tiller control

Phelon 4065B used on Scott McCulloch plus carrying handle is typical Scott.
Your 25 is likely a model 6932 or 6933 made in 1960-61.
Scott McCulloch supplied Western Auto Wizard outboards from about 1957-8 thru
about 1964. Think of your outboard not as a Wizard but as a Scott McCulloch
wearing a Wizard brand. Same basic motor sold as Scott McCulloch and very likely
later a very similar motor under Sears Elgin or Game Fisher

Step 1...evaluate motor'c condition and needs first

Finding parts to tuneup or repair something made half a century ago is a lot
easier and faster online. Check around for a vintage generic under 30 hp
outboard repair manual...some libraries are diy oriented.

I don't think i am going to use as it is too big for my needs it runs good shifts fine and is real clean what might it be worth

Price and Value have to be agreed upon by the proverbial willing but not
forced buyer and seller. I do not know the value and any attempt to set a
price would be a groundless speculation.
