WH6

I HAVE A 1957 WH6 WIZARD AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE STATOR PLATE ? IT LOOKS LIKE I NEED TO REMOVE THE POINTS AND CAM AND THEN REMOVE THE NUT UNDER THE CAM . ALSO ,WHO HAS NEW COILS FOR THIS MOTOR? IVE WORKED ON MANY JOHN / EVIN,BUT THS IS THE FIRST WH6 WIZARD. THE WG7 10 IS ALOT EASER THAN THE WH6.ANYBODY HAVE A PARTS MANUAL THEY COULD SHARE? THANKS. AL

Re: WH6

I seem to remember a cotter pin that must be removed from a lever that advances the magneto when the throttle is raised.

Next there are two clamps under the stator plate. You will see some nurled nuts on each side that tension the fingers of the clamp. Loose these and pull the metal piece out about 1/2".

Remember that because of the neutral cable that the throttle must be in a certail place (above 1/2 throttle I think) so the stator plate can be lifted off.

Re: WH6
