6509 is a 1965 9hp so possibly 6609 is a 1966 model
Made by West Bend after it became Chrysler outboards.
In late 1950's and early 1960's Mercury and OMC got out of store branded motors business. Retailers then turned to Scott/McCulloch and WestBend/Chrysler for
store brand outboards. You will find same outboards for sale under a number of brands as well as under manufacturer's brand. Only difference being color,
decal and perhaps cowl shape.
There are several on line parts vendors that specialize in suppling missing items from motors
they part out.
Prop from any 9hp WestBend/Chrysler made outboard will
likely be suitable. Brand identificaton items would have to come from the store brand version although
not necessarily the same year as those might be carried over from year to year...cost was a factor
in selling to retailers.
